Cindy Carlson
Watercolor - Booth 10
Cindy Carlson earned a bachelor’s degree in art education from
Eastern Illinois University and an associate degree in visual
communications from Parkland College. After several years working as a graphic designer and raising a family, she began studying watercolor under Don Lake at Parkland College. Though she continues to work as a freelance designer, painting with watercolor has become her passion. Her subject matter includes things that have a personal meaning – landscapes and still-lifes from places she has visited, still-lifes using family heirlooms and collections and items from nature. |

Kim Eichler-Messmer
Fiber - Booth 11
Kim Eichler-Messmer, fiber artist, was born and raised in Iowa. In 2007, she received an MFA in textiles from the University of Kansas. She is currently an Artist-in-Residence at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Her work has been exhibited nationally in numerous juried shows, such as the 28th Annual Contemporary Craft in Mesa, Arizona, ArtQuilt
Elements in Wayne, Pennsylvania, and Fiber National 2007 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She is married and has two cats and a guinea pig. |
